SONY GMT

This project helped the team at Sony deliver a more interactive presentation at London for more than 3500 company members. Under a week’s deadline, we were tasked with coming up with a metaphor to represent how these 70+ internal teams interact with each other and help the process of a peripheral go from idea to market. This would be presented as a PowerPoint with videos, where each slide would autoplay and stop after showing the current action, allowing the presenter to further elaborate and choose when to continue the animation.

Creative Challenge

Through the idea of a neighbourhood, we were able to place various teams as buildings on each step, while going back and forth through the map, zoom in and out, and show the buildings doing different actions. Although there wasn’t a strict illustration system to follow, I used the PS Colors to make it on brand and went with a simple style that would allow a huge number of buildings at a time to not distract and feel balanced. This would also reinforce the idea of how many teams are involved in the process.

The final piece of the puzzle was creating a story that we could divide into PowerPoint slides, each one would autoplay and resume from the previous slide's last frame. Each section in the roadmap presented the teams involved and went through the actions between them. Allowing the presenter to have a strong visual support before going through each step.
